Pieris Japonica Debutante are evergreen shrubs with dense and compact bushy growing habit, that bloom profusely in spring season. These are dwarf sized or low-growing attractive bushes, ideal for shrub borders or mixed borders. Their dark green foliage is highly ornamental, creating brilliant contrast for the flowers and changing shades from spring to summer. These shrubs will reach an average height of 2 feet.

Also known as the Lily-of-the-valley bush, this Pieris Debutante flushes creamy urn-shaped white flowers with a yellow tint, produced in masses on upright panicles in spring. Its narrow elliptic leaves emerge red-burgundy in colour and slowly maturing into dark green. This interesting foliage keeps the plant lively throughout the year, providing year-round interest for your garden.

These are hardy plants that can tolerate full sun and even grow well in partial shade. They flower from March to May and young flowers may require protection from frost.
